Send text message reminders
Allow an option to send text messages in addition to emails to remind students of upcoming events.

Can SH email, or text, the teacher their schedule every day (or their attendance page every day/morning)?
Could each teacher at my studio have the option of being sent a text or email on their smartphone every morning to remind them of their daily schedule prior to the upcoming day. Or could they be sent their attendance page for that current day?
Also could any scheduled events which might be added, deleted or changed on their schedule, on that current day, also be texted and/or emailed to them so they do not have to remain chained to a computer while teaching, and their schedules are truly live.

Mass Update Feature For Invoices
It would be nice to be able to update multiple invoices at once just as you can mass select and print invoices or mass delete. This would allow a studio to update all invoices at the end of a month and apply any credit to the next invocie (or see any lesson schedule changes) without having to manually go through each invoice.

Create a quick way to see that Studio/ Location/ Teacher is unavailable on calendar without seeing event details
We want everyone, regardless of permissions, to be able to see that certain times are BOOKED on the calendar when they log in! These times should include studio-wide Blackout days (holidays, etc), when locations are full, or when teachers are booked. This would be SO helpful for parents and teachers trying to schedule makeup lessons!! Could be as simple as a color change and would be an easy expansion of your already in-development Calendar Blackout option.

Point of Sale (POS)
Better Support for: Inventory, Sales, Bar code generator, Bar code scanner, Receipt printer, Cash Drawer. We are building a store to support our 130 + students and would rather be able to integrate student lesson payments with the store and visa versa. Could you provided a way to upload inventory from a spread sheet (csv file). 100 pieces of sheet music from one supplier will require me to hire some one just to input the data one at a time, No thanks!

Improve customization of Registration form
Items like 'lesson length' or 'student age' should be able to be added as drop-down options. A text box isn't appropriate for all uses.
Also, a (checkbox) gift certificate option would be handy, to sell certificates without immediately scheduling the class.
A redirect to a custom landing page rather than just a 'success' message would allow better integration of marketing or billing features.

Add the repertoire tracker to Studio Helper
Music Teachers Helper has a repertoire tracker that I and the teachers in my studio really like. It would be great to see the same repertoire tracker in Studio Helper.

2 way sync between studio helper and google calandar and/or iPhone.
This is important because I would like to make quick changes from my iphone when I'm not near a computer, and have my personal schedule update to studio helper so I don't get scheduled for lessons when I'm unavailable.

Print Daily Schedule by Room
I would like to be able to print a report that shows the schedule for each room so that I can post each room's schedule for the day on the door of that particular room. Sometimes I need to shuffle rooms due to schedule changes or other activities at the church. If the schedule were posted each day, the teachers would know how long they have the room and when and would not have to interrupt a lesson in progress to inquire about room availability.

Add "Lead" as a new student category and create a customizable mailing list form so that we can capture leads from our website.
It would be good to know what the webform was attached to so we could place those leads in specific categories.

invoice list should show accounts with credit remaining
On the invoice list it would be great if it somehow showed accounts that have a credit remaining. That would be helpful when sending out invoices so I can apply the credit before sending the invoice.

If there is a negative number in the Balance Due field, there should be an option to add that to credit
If you remove a charge from a client's invoice after they pay, it will show a negative balance in the 'Balance Due' field. There should be a way to apply that remaining balance into their credit!
With the current studiohelper set-up, if a student pays in advance for the month, and then cancels one of their lessons after paying, you must delete their and recreate their invoice, delete and recreate their payment, delete and recreate their credit. Please implement this modification, it would solve a huge problem for us!10 votesGood news. We are planning this one out.

Managing Locations Availability
My studio is shared with another organization. The locations I use to teach in vary through out the week. I need to be able to edit the times allowed for each individual room. This would mean a room could only be scheduled if:
1) the room is available
and
2) the teacher is available
right now I can only manage global studio times and teachers times...i need to be able to manage location times as well

Update "Updated Package Rates/Prices" automatically in Calendar
When you change a package/ rate (ie updating pricing for 2014) and there are events that have already been assigned a package with a price; the package field goes blank & the price remains at the old rate.
This is horrible when dealing with 300+ calendar events per week, having to go through and individually change each package to the new updated package (even though it was selected originally).
This greatly affects billing from the calendar (as we almost sent out 500 invoices at our old rate, even though we had updated the package!)It would be nice to see…

Auto-Update "School, Grade" field
Right now, there is one field in the registration form called "School and Grade". Is it possible to make this into two fields, "School" and "Grade", and have the grade section automatically advance by one at the end of each August?
There is no way we can afford to pay a staff member to update the grades manually one by one each year, and if the field can't stay not up-to-date, it is useless.

CRM Capability (Ability to log and track client communications)
It would be fantastic to have a tab available under the student or family to accurately log calls, emails and communication.
Even a simple text box such as this would be sufficient.
For example
Tues. Feb. 24 - client called to cancel lesson tomorrow. Teacher notified via email.

Tuesday Jan. 17th. Was able to accommodate a new lesson time on Wednesday @ 4:30. Confirmed with parent over the phone, teacher notified by email.

Only show available teachers on calendar.
Right now, the calendar shows all teachers on all days. It should only show the teachers who have availability on that day so that you don't have to filter teachers every time you look at a different day.

Do not show "inactive " and "former" students in drop down menus in Reports
Sadly, the studio just does not have such a long list of students... So many inactive students just make the list cumbersome.
9 votesI’ll put this under review to see if it gets enough votes but we have this in case inactive or former teachers and students return so you don’t lose their information. You would want this information for your bookkeeping purposes.

Allow Student Pictures in JPEG format
It would be really helpful to have the option to upload student pictures. Once the student database increases, it's really difficult to track if the students who paid the fees are the actual students who go inside the classes.
