  1. create a contact log for potential students.

    There should be a way to log the contact you have made with potential clients. You should also be able to mark which potential clients need follow up and be able to assign it to a member of your staff on their todo list.

  2. Additional Information on System Templates

    Suggest adding information in the blue ? box for system templates that even if you have the information between the % signs typed as it appears (lower/upper case and no spaces), that you also cannot apply any formatting such as bold, italic, hyperlinks, etc.

  4. Put in Purchase Orders which can be turned into invoices.

    85% of my business requires net 30 from me and use purchase orders.
    Sometimes with Holidays and cancelations, the purchase orders are NOT the same as attendance. I would like to be able to create purchase orders that then align with attendance to insure correct billing. Purchase orders would then convert to invoices. Thank you for your consideration.

  5. Add an "Archive" button to the actions available on the invoice page so that we can move old invoices out of the active file, but have them

    If we left all of our customers' paid invoice in the file, we would have thousands per year. Currently, the only way to remove them is to print to a pdf and save them on our own hard drive. Once deleted, payment records indicate the payment amount and date, but no invoice to reference. An "archive" file on SH would be accessible, but not cumbersome.

  6. Sort attendance the same way that Agenda is sorted

    We rely on printed attendance sheets. We use the Agenda from the calendar to print each day's list of lessons. After lessons occur, we use the printed copy to mark attendance in the Attendance screen. However, events are sorted complete differently between the two lists. I often have over 50 events per day, and up to 6 that occur in the same time block. It would be helpful if there were a consistency regarding how StudioHelper sorts the two views so that we may check attendance with fewer mistakes.

  7. Family discount

    It would be great to have a family discount option. A lot of Music Schools have discount rates when two or more people from the same family are students. Or if a person attends two or more different lessons/courses. So when you invoice, it automatically gives a discount based on your discount settings.

    This will be a new feature soon. For now you can always create a package for “Family Discount” and use a negative amount. When you invoice, add a line item, choose package and the family discount package. It will then adjust your invoice.

  8. Create an Android/iPhone app

    Please make an iPhone app so that I can access my studio more easily from my phone.

  9. Show event category in Schedule tab of Profile

    Within the Profile pages, under the Schedule tab, it would be very useful to see the category of upcoming events. It's impossible to know whether the event listed is a class, make up, canceled, etc. And for teachers who don't have calendar editing permissions, they cannot click the event to see the details from that screen.

    I know that it's possible to see event categories in the Agenda view of the calendar, but including it on the Profile Schedule would be useful for several groups and circumstances.

  10. Teacher and studio contact information needs to be available

    It would be great to have contact information easily accessible for parents. For example if their teacher showed up under people with the teacher's contact information including, email, phone number etc. It would also be great if under the studio name there was a place to add an email address, phone number, and physical mailing address. Currently it is difficult for parents to figure out how to email their teacher and there is no other contact information available to them other than that.

    Thank you for the suggestion. We would have to review this because many do not want that information available. The students have an email tab in their profile and if they click the teacher’s name the email box will come up so they can email the teacher. If the teacher wants to give out that info they can. That’s how it works for now.

  11. Sibling discount or Roadshow Promo discount

    I noticed there was a similar suggestion put up under review already. It would be helpful to add this in and automatically calculates the final figure. I only need it in the form of a %discount eg. 5% or 10%. Similarly, a late fee option inclusion ( % or nett) is helpful too.

  12. Allow the option to customize email templates with a pop up screen each time you send an invoice

    I think that it would be very helpful if when sending emails/invoices there would be a pop up screen that would allow you to customize the email template each time you send vs having to go into another screen to create a blanket email template. For example, when choosing to email from the invoice list it uses the current invoice email template - My current template for invoices is for invoices that are coming due - if I have past due invoices that I need to send reminders out for, I would have to go into a separate screen to…

    Thank you for your suggestion. However, I think a better solution would be to have a link to choose either the regular template that goes with an invoice or choose an overdue notification template. That way you wouldn’t have so many steps to do or if you forgot to change the original template back, they would not go out with wrong wording.

  13. Miss-Clicks deleting classes

    We have had several classes deleted in error, and not picked up on untill a teaches says their pay is short.

    When you click on a class in the calendar a dialogue box opens, At the bottom of the box are: EDIT, DELETE, CANCEL EVENT, [SPACE] to lower the instances of "miss-clicks" it would be helpful to reorder as EDIT, [SPACE] CANCEL EVENT, DELETE

  14. make the categories display in a set order

    It would be great to see the categories display in a set order, rather than according to the date they are created. This would make it easier and faster to add events to the schedule. Is it possible to have them display alphabetically, or better yet to allow studios to customize their order? We could have all the piano teachers together, all the voice, etc. What do you think?

    Is is possible to update the status of all family members of the a student at the same time the status of the student is changed.

    That is a good idea and something that we will consider during our next upgrades. I can see where this would be beneficial so that a family doesn’t get “separated” in the status area. We would have to make it an option though as some families will have multiple students in the family but not all active at the same time.

  16. Add total number of Active Student Classes in Overview

    under The Overview, please also show the total number of Active Student Classes. Now it only shows no.ofactive students. But as there are some students who takes multiple classes, it is helpful to have a glance of how many classes sign up.

  17. CRM Capability (Ability to log and track client communications)

    It would be fantastic to have a tab available under the student or family to accurately log calls, emails and communication.

    Even a simple text box such as this would be sufficient.

  18. Create a "Preferred method of Contact" for Students, Parents, Teachers

    Today, I had a teacher with several students need to cancel lessons. I used StudioHelper to email the affected students and parents, but learned that while some got the email in time, others don't/can't check email, and needed a phone call or text.

    I suggest you create something that allows a "preferred method of contact" with the ability to include an email, or text number, or telephone number, and some way to see that information in a list of contacts.

  19. Alphabetize Registration drop down menu

    Hey,

    We run a music school with a LOT of different course offerings. Students often take more than one lesson (vocals AND ukulele AND a group class, etc) and want everything available as a line item on their bill.

    As a result, we have had to make a huge number of packages in the registration section.
    Right now, if I go to the registration section of SH...all of the packages sort alphabetically.
    If I try to pick a registration package the drop down menu on the student's page...the packages appear chronologically (according to creation date).

    It would be nice to be able to search for people using phone number or address or something other than just their name.
