Improve calendar navigation among recurring events
Provide method within the event screen to navigate to next and previous events among a recurring series of events. It could be just links that say "next | previous" or something similar.
It would also be helpful to have a direct link to the teacher and student profile pages from within the event screen.

I'd also like to see the date of the first event in the series from within each individual view.
