Show Teacher availability by the week
In order to let students know when teachers are available to teach lessons during the week, it would be easier to visually see the teachers' availability for the full week on one screen.
It could be a feature that must have only one teacher's schedule up at one time, but that would at least lead to a better way of communication for students. This also allows for a more clear representation to decide on make-up times.
1 voteI’ll put this up for review. However, it is not feasible to have only one teacher up on the calendar at one. If you need that you can use the filters to the right hand side and unselect all teachers and then just select one and update. The teacher availability is under review but the one schedule at a time up is not.

make it possible to enroll new students with a teacher directly from the calendar event page
When getting new students set up, right now it is necessary to first enroll the student with their teacher from their student page (under People), and then they can be added to their lesson "event" (on the Calendar). It would save a lot of time and be more intuitive to be able to enroll the student directly from the event page of the lesson we've created for them, rather than having to do a two-step process for each student.

Availability Times in Quarter Hours
In the time drop down menus in teacher availability, there are options in 10 minute intervals. However, at my studio, we have many classes that run on the quarter hours. Could you add an option for 15 and 45 in there so that I can best line up teacher availability and class times?

Create ability to add multiple packages in calendar event
It would be useful to be able to create multiple packages in the one calendar event with a particular student. In this case as a mobile tutor we need to add on a travel fee per student

Teachers access to emails
I would just like to suggest that in the "People" section, that teachers shouldn't be able to view student or parents emails addresses.
Or perhaps create an option in "Permissions" where it specifies that they can't access any details (except names) of students or parents.

Add message to emailed invoices and statements
When emailing invoices or statements to clients, it would be terrific to have the option to add a personalized message into the body of the email prior to the message being sent. As it stands now, I constantly have to follow my invoice emails with regular emails from my email program explaining something about their invoice or statement, etc. But then my clients are getting 2 emails from me, which starts to feel spammy...
1 voteYou already have a note field in the invoices. And you can customize the invoice email template. The system templates are in people>mass email>system templates and to the invoice template. This template goes out with each invoice. Here you can put studio wide messages about invoices. The notes section on the invoice itself is for personalized. I will put this under review for a notes section in statements.

End Date or Date of Last Lesson added to Student Profiles
The "Reason For Leaving" dropdown menu is most helpful. Could we also have the ability to indicate the last date of a students lesson or the date when a student ends their lessons. This would be very helpful information to have on hand. The ability to run a report for this information would also be great.

Payroll - Half Hour Rate
half a half hour rate under the payroll feature. Most Canadian music school run half hour classes and pay teacher per half hour.

Event invitations - YES/NO/MAYBE answers
Hi, just like in other calendars, for example Google, I think it's very important to add "yes/now/maybe" answer to an event invitation. That way the teacher and school both know if the invitation was delivered to the student.

Add more colors on Events so can color code Teachers & Events
We have a large studio and color code events (recitals, etc.) and all teachers. We need more than 24 colors.

Rotating Student Schedules
In the UK, Australia and NZ, school based instrumental lessons are based on rotating lessons every week. There is currently no software on the market that will do this and so we have to timetable manually. If you could add this feature, you would have an exclusive product in three huge music markets!

Add a Total figure to the columns in the Invoice List
When viewing the Invoice List (and utilising the helpful filtering), please add a Total Sum figure to the two columns; "Total" and "Bal. Due".
I'm currently having to copy and paste the raw table (through multiple pages) into Excel, then cleaning up the copied data, all just to work out the total figure of the Balance Due.
Adding a simple Total value(s) to the table can help visualise cash flow.
1 voteI put this under review but the Total sum would need to be in the payments list not the invoice list. The invoice list is just a list of individual invoices and what is due for that invoice only. I can see a need for a balance due in the payments list that reflects payments against invoices. You can also use the statement to see a list of payments, credits and any outstanding(balances due) over several invoices.

filter lessons taught report by attendance status
It would be helpful to have the capacity to review a report of all absences, cancellations and "Not Set" to follow up with students or teachers
3 votesWe will review this after it has garnered enough votes. In the meantime, the lessons taught report does filter for attended, absent and cancelled as one of your filter selections. For not set, you would have to make note of them manually.

Alphabetize all drop-down menus....especially the Package Drop-down when adding Registration
Currently, when I add a registration, I have to find the correct package type in the drop-down menu that is sorted by the order in which is was created. Is there any way you could make that drop-down alphabetized like the category drop-down, the instrument drop down, and teacher drop-down menus are?

Add "levels" drop down menu to enrolment forms
It would be terrific if there could be separate drop downs for "Class" and "Level". Teaching many private lessons (as opposed to classes), but needing to be able to specify different levels matched with different teachers, I do not want to create separate enrolment forms for Voice-Beginner, Voice-Intermediate, Voice-Advanced, and Voice-Professional, for each teacher in each time slot, for instance. If I could just create one for Voice, and then at the time of enrolment specify what level this class would be, it would solve a lot of duplicated work on our end.

Future-Dated Payments & Reminders
We deal with many students who prefer to pay using a series of post-dated cheques.
We'd like to set up automated e-mail reminders to let them know that we will be depositing their payment. Currently, the only way I've found this is to do the following:
- Create / receive a payment with a future date
- Create a calendar event for the payment (involves creating a separate location and separate calendar type)
- Set up an automated e-mail reminder (which, unfortunately, goes to the student as well as the parent - no current workaround)
- Make the event last from 12:00 AM to…

Support for Other Latin Characters
We have several students and a teacher that have characters with accents in their names (e.g. Léna). These characters don't show in e-mails or automated calendar reminders.
It would be great if the system could support alternate forms of characters (alt-text or Unicode).

Improve calendar navigation among recurring events
Provide method within the event screen to navigate to next and previous events among a recurring series of events. It could be just links that say "next | previous" or something similar.
It would also be helpful to have a direct link to the teacher and student profile pages from within the event screen.

Print Daily Schedule by Room
I would like to be able to print a report that shows the schedule for each room so that I can post each room's schedule for the day on the door of that particular room. Sometimes I need to shuffle rooms due to schedule changes or other activities at the church. If the schedule were posted each day, the teachers would know how long they have the room and when and would not have to interrupt a lesson in progress to inquire about room availability.

Add other repeating options
It would be great to be able to set the calendar to repeat an event on designated weeks such as on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Currently there are only repeating options in week blocks; if you have a program that happens on the 2nd and 4th weeks, any month with 5 Tuesdays throws this whole cycle off. Vote for this and I'll give you a cookie.
