  1. create a contact log for potential students.

    There should be a way to log the contact you have made with potential clients. You should also be able to mark which potential clients need follow up and be able to assign it to a member of your staff on their todo list.

  2. Availability Times in Quarter Hours

    In the time drop down menus in teacher availability, there are options in 10 minute intervals. However, at my studio, we have many classes that run on the quarter hours. Could you add an option for 15 and 45 in there so that I can best line up teacher availability and class times?

  3. Allow parents to also be students

    I have several parents of students who also take lessons themselves. I would like the parent of a student to be able to register as a student.

  4. Can SH email, or text, the teacher their schedule every day (or their attendance page every day/morning)?

    Could each teacher at my studio have the option of being sent a text or email on their smartphone every morning to remind them of their daily schedule prior to the upcoming day. Or could they be sent their attendance page for that current day?

    Also could any scheduled events which might be added, deleted or changed on their schedule, on that current day, also be texted and/or emailed to them so they do not have to remain chained to a computer while teaching, and their schedules are truly live.

  5. Add "Lead" as a new student category and create a customizable mailing list form so that we can capture leads from our website.

    It would be good to know what the webform was attached to so we could place those leads in specific categories.

  6. CRM Capability (Ability to log and track client communications)

    It would be fantastic to have a tab available under the student or family to accurately log calls, emails and communication.

    Even a simple text box such as this would be sufficient.

  7. Auto-Update "School, Grade" field

    Right now, there is one field in the registration form called "School and Grade". Is it possible to make this into two fields, "School" and "Grade", and have the grade section automatically advance by one at the end of each August?

    There is no way we can afford to pay a staff member to update the grades manually one by one each year, and if the field can't stay not up-to-date, it is useless.

    Thank you for the suggestion. We are working on upgrades for the end of the year and hopefully we can work on something for this for you.

  8. Emergency Contact Details

    Fields for Emergency Contact person (Name, Phone, Relationship to Student) would be nice. Having to add and find for these details in the notes section is not very efficient. Also, perhaps a field for Medical Concerns, Allergies, etc so that it would show up on a report or at least be easily accessible would be great.

  9. Allow Student Pictures in JPEG format

    It would be really helpful to have the option to upload student pictures. Once the student database increases, it's really difficult to track if the students who paid the fees are the actual students who go inside the classes.

  10. Easily allow admins to be teachers

    It would be nice to have a streamlined way to allow admins (me, a studio owner) to have one login for admin and teaching. Currently I have to have a different login and email. If it could be one login, and then we could switch the view upon entering the sight.

  12. Have the student's teacher show up in the drop-down "people" menu.

    When students log in, the only "people" that they can see are their own family. It would be good if their teacher's name and email address would be in the drop-down menu - as well as the contact email for the studio.

    You can use the remote registration form feature that you will find in Settings > Remote Access. The website features are not yet available in Studio Helper but its already included in the client wish list for possible consideration.

  14. Add a Lesson History TAB to the students profile.

    Could you please add a Lesson History TAB to the students profile so that all of a students lesson history/notes/attendance is available to view in one place. Thanks!

  15. create an alternative Practice Log design appealing to children

    I'm curious whether the practice log feature has been popular in studios amongst the young students. Because I find the display is fine for adult students but for children it wouldn't be appealing enough to begin using it or to continue to do so in the long term. It would be nice to have an alternative display that has bubbly graphics, maybe something with stars or like this for instance:

  16. create registration page instead of html custom widget

    It would be great to have standard regstration pages for private lessons, art classes, etc... right now i'm doing double entry for each new student.

    We’ll be working on a new registration and booking system that will make it easier for students to register for specific classes, or for you to do so with a much simpler interface. This is still a ways off, but we wanted to let you know we’re planning on it.

  17. Add a counter feature to count the number of months a student has been enrolled.

    We offer rewards to our students based on the length of time they have been registered. It becomes difficult when students leave for months at a time and return. According to their enrollment date, on paper it looks like they've been enrolled for longer than they actually were.

  18. Make it possible in families under people list to choose "active"

    The "family" area under "people" needs more smarts so you have a button to choose "active" rather than all families at once.

    Also it would be useful to have a total of this at the bottom of the page.

  19. Create a "Preferred method of Contact" for Students, Parents, Teachers

    Today, I had a teacher with several students need to cancel lessons. I used StudioHelper to email the affected students and parents, but learned that while some got the email in time, others don't/can't check email, and needed a phone call or text.

    I suggest you create something that allows a "preferred method of contact" with the ability to include an email, or text number, or telephone number, and some way to see that information in a list of contacts.

  20. Alphabetize Registration drop down menu

    Hey,

    We run a music school with a LOT of different course offerings. Students often take more than one lesson (vocals AND ukulele AND a group class, etc) and want everything available as a line item on their bill.

    As a result, we have had to make a huge number of packages in the registration section.
    Right now, if I go to the registration section of SH...all of the packages sort alphabetically.
    If I try to pick a registration package the drop down menu on the student's page...the packages appear chronologically (according to creation date).
